Equipment

At the Great Chinook Lodge, our charter boats are equiped with all of the latest equipment in navigation technology and sportfishing gear, including radar, GPS, depth and fish finders, downriggers, rods, reels, bait and the best lures. Our boat captains are U.S. Coast Guard certified and licensed. Boats are equiped with an enclosed cabin, comfortable seating, enclosed toilet and all required safety gear.

All fish processing is done as soon as you arrive at the dock. Because we own our own vacuum packers, we save you time, money and guarantee your fish is fresh frozen and ready to go home with you. Oh, and don't worry, everyone leaves with fish!

Our Boats

Both boats are designed for off shore sport fishing and cruising. Making them perfect for the area we fish. There is plenty of room and comfort for up to 6 anglers per boat.

Weather

The temperature in Glacier Bay ranges between 55 and 80 degrees. With 16 plus hours of sunlight, cold weather only arrives when it is raining. The rain is a welcome site, as it stimulates the fish to spawn and become very active. Be prepared for rain with clothes suitable for extended wet weather.
