Gustavus Alaska is not lacking in scenery being a cozy small town. One can feel like a local as you walk down the street waving at neighbors and other guests of Gustavus.

There are several trails winding in and out of Gustavus full of wooded areas, creeks, lakes, and the local beach.

These trails are not only filled with spectacular wildlife which should be observed with respect and caution; but also provide a wilderness so rich and beautiful one could admire the scenery for hours. Our forests are also filled with amazing fungi along with other ecological wonders that can be observed and appreciated. Remember, it is important to be knowledgeable about mushrooms and plant life as to avoid poisonous specimens.
