RIVER FISHING

Located a mere 8 miles from Gustavus guests have found the Bartlett Cove a prime place to river fish. Tides, bears, moose wolves and trail conditions are a few things to consider when hiking the Bartlett Trail which is a two mile hike to the fishing holes. Sockeye, Coho, Steelhead, and Dolly Varden are found here. Be sure to bring your camera along the way. Bear spray is available for purchase locally. Many return with stories of brown bears, black bears, moose, bald eagles and occasional wolf sightings.

Large Halibut PictureGustavus is central to several other prestine rivers systems including; Mud Bay, Excursion Inlet and the Berg River.
